Sometimes…

…I am hugely disgusted at my country. I work in a local shop, most of the people who come in are regulars who always chat and are relatively friendly. About 6 shops up from us is a pizza shop, run by some people who are from India. They’re lovely guys, sometimes come in and buy stuff etc, generally quite friendly.

However tonight I witnessed intolerance which is unfortunately, majorly common amongst the youth of England. That is verbally assaulting people who may or may not be native English (not that that matters one iota).

Now these guys have probably tolerated this racial slander (that is calling them ‘Pakis’) for god knows how long and finally snapped. Unfortunately they dealt with it in probably the worst way, wielding a rolling pin and a broom handle to beat the kids over the head with.

It’s a mighty shame that it should even come to this. These kids are so completely warped that they think it’s acceptable and even amusing to try to insult people because of their lineage. And of course these kids will not be punished more than a slap on the wrist, while the guys from the pizza shop are going to be arrested and charge with assault. And yea maybe they dealt with it in the worst possible way, but aren’t they the victims here?

Some things cross my mind in this situation, one being the question of what the parents are teaching these kids, and are they even aware of how intolerant their racist little kids are.

It’s a sad state of affairs when the police can’t do anything because they’re all minors and the people being abused are having to take the law into their own hands just to get justice.

Anyway that’s all I have to say about this. I just find it disgusting that kids are being racist and the police are virtually no help at all.
